John P. McMahon joined the Journal's Editorial Board in 1996, having previously served as the Journal's Case Editor (1970-80), Associate Editor (1970-88), Co-Editor (1989-90), and Editor (1991-95). Mr. McMahon is a member of the South Carolina, North Carolina, and New York Bars and holds an A.B. from St. Peter's College, a J.D. from New York University, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University. His writings include Applying the CISG - Guide for Managers and Counsel (Updated 2006), and Forum-Selection and Choice of Law Clauses, Chapter IV, Cruise Ships, 10 Benedict on Admiralty (Updated 2005). He is Chair of the International Sales and Related Commercial Transactions Committee of the International Law and Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association.
